Randal, still disappointed
I woke up this morning hoping my disappointment would fade; however, it didn’t.
I love all the comments I got with my post last night! I like the excitement. With that, I would like to clarify some things.
1. I cheered for Randal the past 10 episodes or so. It was only in the last 5 minutes of the show that I became disappointed in him. That does not mean I am racist. Give me a break. I don’t like John Kerry, I guess that means I hate white people too.
2. Randal deserved to be The ‘sole’ Apprentice. By all formalities, legalities and such… Randal deserved the title. I can understand that he doesn’t want there to be two apprentices; however, to completely not hire someone based on a contest and not sharing the glory is ridiculous. Any employee of a company should be focused on what will make the company succeed, not their own personal advantage or glory. It appeared to me that Randal was looking out for himself and his glory, not the Trump organization.
I will submit that he could’ve articulated his position alot better and got away with a clean get away. For example, he could’ve said something like “Mr. Trump, based on Rebecca’s performance during this job interview, she would definately make a great addition to the Trump organization. Nevertheless; in all fairness to the applicants and myself, I believe that there should only be one apprentice hired tonight.”
3. To use the analogy that Trump shouldn’t hire two people cause it’s a contest and there can only be one winner (like the NBA) is not what Trump is about. Trump even said that everyone considers this a game, but he doesn’t. This is his company he’s talking about. To hire two good people to an organization is good business.
4. NBC hires the Apprentice. Can you really see someone bossing Donald Trump around and telling him what he should do with his company? I don’t.
Anyhow… those are my quick thoughts. Comments are appreciated and enjoyed.

Black men usually stand behind “brothers” and “sisters.” Had Rebecca been African-American, I have no doubt that Randal would have encouraged Trump to hire her as well. Instead, Randal indulged his considerable racism and revealed himself to be so incredibly and foolishly selfish.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one disappointed. Donald was clearly setting up the situation to hire both of them. I mean, this season, he did multiple firings, why not a multiple hiring?
What was equally ridiculous was giving Randal the choice. Although maybe he was setting Randal up to see what kind of an executive Randal was. When push comes to shove, he’s clearly not a team player, he’s out for #1.
It’s so disappointing to racists when two qualified candidates, one black and one white can’t both be crowned winners. You’re the same racists who cry over affirmative action. It has never been a level playing field for African-Americans and almost all minorities in this country. If you placed Randal’s and Rebecca’s resumes next to each other without ever looking at their skin color, Rebecca wouldn’t even make it past the initial screening. The most dangerous racists aren’t wearing white sheets and attending hate rallies. It’s the folks who can’t deal with an African-American making a decision that benefits his family and future over a white persons future. These are the feelings and attitudes that have made the majority of boardrooms white in this country. If you are truly a racist then have the courage to exam your true feelings and admit what your are. Don’t fake it, shake my hand, and smile politely to my face and chalk it up to disappointment. Be man enough to admit it.
i think in the end the fact is Randall won… Trump never should have asked him on national TV at his winning moment if he wanted to share the title. It was all a show just to see what his reaction would be. I was mad at Trump not Randall. Who wants to share a gold medal… or an oscar just because the runner that came in second was nearly as fast as you or the movie was nearly as good as yours. It wasnt a fair question… if Trump REALLY wants rebecca… then hire her outisde of the show. He should have let Randall have his winning moment. BOOOOO trump…. thats what i say! Besides do you think Doanld trump would ever share his winning moment… i think not.
I bet you hate Dave Chappell too because he’s clearly a blacky. You’re probably happy Rosa Parks died. Anyway I think Randal was a dummy for nixing Rebecca. Rebecca being hired would’ve had no bearing on Randal’s job or fame.
