being a part
Every other wednesday is Lifegroup. I got involved in this lifegroup through church. A Lifegroup is essentially a small group. Every other wednesday we get together and have a Bible study. Now sometimes we break off in guy/girl groups and go have some fun. Mainly it’s a great time to get CONNECTED.
I see how a lot of christians seem to think that we can be the church all by ourselves. Granted, the church is composed of many individuals; however, we are all still part of a body. Over the last few years I haven’t been to church consistently like I should’ve. And even though I went, I really didn’t get involved. Granted, I had good reasons for not getting involved; nevertheless, I was ultimately DECIEVED.
See, we weren’t created to be alone. That wasn’t just meant in a 1:1 intimiate marriage relationship… it was meant that we need to be around people that are going to challenge us and pray for us. When we place ourselves in that kind of environment, that makes us VUNERABLE.
Vunerability, gosh I don’t like that. I don’t want to be accountable to anyone. I want to do whatever the frill I want to. Good thing that I’ve given my life to Christ and He lives in me. I don’t live the way I want to, or else I would probably be DEAD.
